Indeed, Fred. I am thinking about this as we head back to work tomorrow. So many marginalized folks have been holding their breath for 4 years. They cannot rejoice because all they can muster is a cautious, reluctant sigh of relief. Present company excepted, white folks of privilege – mostly do not understand this and at most think “it’s all over”. And many of them are leaders. It is not over. They, we, need to process, somehow. I do not have the answers, only ideas, but I caution a “sigh of relief now business as usual” mindset. Silence from leaders is not the answer.
